A Christmas Family Potluck

This wasn't one of our dinner parties, but it ended up feeling a little like one. It was the beginning of last week that we decided to invite some friends over who would be in Vegas for the holiday. We invited 6 families, not just couples. Everyone brought a main or side dish or an appetizer. We put enough seating in the kitchen for 12 children and the adults did lap eating. There was plenty of food and we really took it easy on the decor. We just had our Salt City candle "Christmas Trimmings" burning and our dining table had a table cloth, candles and a Holy Family statue.
After dinner the kids all went upstairs to play. It was nice because all the adults were able to visit without child interruptions for about an hour. Then we called the kids back downstairs and they sat at the tables and decorated cookies, cupcakes and other treats. They each got to take home a plate of goodies. It was a lot of fun.
