Mystery Night Details

Decor: I had downloaded some TV and movie detective theme songs like:
Magnum PI, Mission Impossible, Rockford Files, Hawaii 5-0, Secret Agent Man, Chips and others

Activity: We solved the mystery of who killed Mr. Coombs prized pigs?
Food-It was a potluck dessert and appetizer bar. We had:
Bean dip with chips
Bacon covered water chestnuts
Chicken Wings
Lemon Cake
Caramel Apple Brownie Squares
Fruit Salad
Peanut Butter Cookies
Brownie Bites
Dress: Casual. I put an insert into the envelope with extra details like:
To avoid suspicion please come to ‘Swine Mystery Night’ dressed as a normal civilian-Do not come in your detective attire- you would put all our lives in danger.
Decor- There actually was none, just a clean house, and just getting that done was a lot of work.
This party though much easier in many regards had its own challenges. One of those was the date and time of the party. At the same time of the party the ward primary was having their primary program practice. So it was a greater challenge for parents to get sitters for their kids. I originally just invited a lot more couples (about 15 to be exact, and didn't require an RSVP... hoping that we could get 6-8 couples here. 8 couples rsvp'd that they'd come...then 2 of those 8 couples had to cancel because a babysitter backed out and one had a really sick child. We still had a great turnout and it was a lot of fun!!! We had 15 people.
